Tirana is not just Albania’s capital—it’s a place where Ottoman mosques stand next to communist landmarks, where colorful street art tells powerful stories, and where every corner hides a secret waiting to be shared.

On this walk, we’ll explore Skanderbeg Square, the Pyramid of Tirana, Blloku district, and more. Along the way, I’ll share insider stories about life under communism, history of the religion, and surprising curiosities you won’t find in guidebooks.

The tour is easy-paced and fun, perfect for all ages. In a small and friendly group, you’ll have plenty of time to ask questions, take photos, and truly connect with the spirit of Tirana.

What will we see on this tour?

Meeting point:

Ndërtesa e kalit skënderbehut, Monumenti i Skënderbeut, Sheshi Skënderbej, Tiranë, Albania

In front of the Skanderbeg statue in the Skanderbeg square (the main square in the city center). I will have in my hand a red and black Albanian flag. This is how you will recognize me.

Outside visit

Skanderbeg Square

This it the central Square of Tirana (our meeting point). From there we will be talking about the history of Albania in general and Tirana. We'll also identify the different buildings belonging to different historical periods.

Entry not included

Et'hem Bej Mosque

This is the oldest and most historical mosque of Tirana dating from the times of Ottoman period. We will uncover every information, fact and story we posses about it so far. We can enter inside being able to see it's fascinating architecture.

Outside visit

100 Years Independence Memorial

A monument built by the government in the 100th anniversary of the independence of Albania.
