Amsterdam Red Light District Free Tour: History and Legends

The red light district of Amsterdam is an object of curiosity for many, but perhaps you do not know that it is the oldest district of Amsterdam where the presence of the 'red' shop windows intersects with the history of the birth of the city.

In our walk of about 1h30 minutes we will discover the history of this neighborhood and its main activities.

Amsterdam is a multicultural city and a very dynamic place for everyone.
The itinerary will also include lesser-known gems and details about the brothels with the red and blue windows, the Chinatown and the narrowest alley in the city.

We will visit together:

• Dam and the dancing houses
• The Legend of Monkey Coffee
• Chinatown
• The red shop windows area
• The Old Church (Oude Kerk)

ATTENTION: it is not possible to bring groups in front of the red windows, so the guide will not take you there but we will get closer to ensure that you can visit this part independently.
