Legends of Khiva - Stories of a Magical City

Welcome to Khiva! I will introduce you not only to historical buildings, but also to the mysterious tales this city has been whispering for centuries.
We begin our journey at Ota Darvoza, the main and most impressive gate of Ichan Qala — the walled inner city of Khiva and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. To visit Ichan Qala and its historical monuments, a combined entry ticket is required. Here’s what you need to know:
✅ Ticket price (as of 2025) 250000 UZS for foreigners (approx. 18/20USD). You can buy the ticket with cash or card. Valid for the entire day — you can explore at your own pace before or after the tour. You can buy tickets right at Ota Darvoza gate. The ticket is valid for 48 hours.

“Heyvah!” – A Well of Sweet Water
Long ago, when this land was nothing but desert, a traveler discovered a well unlike any other. Its story became so famous that it is said to have given the city its very name. The well still exists in Ichan-Kala, waiting for those curious enough to find it.
