Tour description

Join me on a unique half-day experience that combines the comfort of a scenic train ride with the charm of a guided walking tour through one of Bavaria’s most beautiful and historic cities — Augsburg

We will depart together from Munich Hauptbahnhof aboard the Arverio train(Free rountrip ticket), enjoying a relaxing and picturesque ride (around 50 minutes) to Augsburg, one of Germany’s oldest cities, rich in Renaissance architecture, merchant history, and artistic legacy.

Once in Augsburg, we’ll begin a 2-hour guided walking tour, covering highlights such as:
🏛️ Town Hall & Golden Hall (outside) – one of the most impressive Renaissance buildings north of the Alps

🗼 Perlach Tower – historic watchtower beside the Town Hall with panoramic views

🪨 Stone Man – mysterious medieval statue with a local legend

🧭 Fugger and Welser Adventure Museum (outside) – stories of Augsburg’s powerful merchant dynasties

🌿 Court Garden – peaceful Baroque garden behind the bishop's palace

⛪ Augsburg Cathedral – a mix of Romanesque and Gothic splendor

✡️ Judenberg – explore the historic Jewish Quarter

🎶 Leopold Mozart House – birthplace of Mozart’s father

🎭 Brecht House – childhood home of the famous playwright Bertolt Brecht

🏘️ Fuggerei (outside) – world’s oldest social housing complex, perfect place to end the tour (guests can visit inside afterward)

After the walking tour, you are free to explore the city on your own or head back to Munich — trains run regularly.
