Tour description
This route is unique as it aims to highlight the role of some of the many women who have contributed either to the economic and cultural development of the city or have left a significant mark in the arts such as poetry, painting, or singing. These were women whose work or social or political influence was often made invisible and silenced by those in power who write history, mostly men.
We will visit places in the city where women like the great diva of copla, Concha Piquer, or the great promoter of culture and minister, Carmen Alborch, lived and worked for the progress of society and to make the world a more beautiful and cultured place.
