Tour description
This tour is designed to help you understand the soul of Segovia through its most iconic monuments and historic corners.
We'll begin at the majestic Aqueduct, a Roman engineering masterpiece that not only supplied water to the city but also symbolizes the strength and grandeur of the empire. From there, we'll walk through charming streets until we reach the Casa de los Picos and the Cascales Palace, where we'll discover the art of sgraffito, one of Segovia's most unique hallmarks.
Our route will continue to Plaza San Martín, where the architecture will transport us to the Italian Renaissance, evoking the elegance and refinement of that era. Nearby is the current Public Library building, which once served another purpose.
We will then continue to the Jewish Quarter, a space steeped in history, memory, and traditions that will allow us to understand the coexistence of cultures in medieval Segovia. The route will lead us to the Plaza Mayor, the heart of the city, where the Church of San Miguel stands, a witness to historical events, and the majestic Gothic Cathedral, known as the "Lady of the Cathedrals."
Finally, we'll conclude our tour at the imposing Alcázar, a fairytale fortress that combines history, power, and architectural beauty, offering one of the most unforgettable views of the city, where you can enjoy the best sunsets.
