In Ravenna, a city world-famous for its mosaics, we have decided to organize a Free Walking Tour that focuses on another aspect: an outdoor walk that highlights the main events in the city's history and allows you to discover some corners of the city that you might not otherwise know, such as the Port.
Note: this is not a tour dedicated to mosaics!
We will start our tour from the Ravenna train station. Before entering the historic center, we will visit the city's Darsena, the ancient city port. We will then continue along Via Roma and pass by Sant'Apollinare Nuovo, stop in Piazza San Francesco to pay homage to Dante (who is buried here), and take Via Cavour to reach the magnificent Basilica of San Vitale.
