Bazurto, the melting pot of Cartagena.

What better way to visit the Bazurto market than visiting it with a local ! Jesús treated us like family, was very knowledgeable and interesting. He speaks very clear spanish, english and even speaks french. We spent a wonderful moment learning so much about the colombian culture. Highly recommended!

If you are staying in the touristic area of Cartagena, then this tour is a must. Jesus our tour guide walked us through the local area where most tourists are not present and it was super interesting and knowledgeable. Followed by Brian the assistant of Jesus, this tour is quite safe and pleasant. You will have the opportunity to transit with the public transport and learn about the realities of Cartagena. Great tour! We are Latin American and fluent in Spanish, so we weren’t sure if it was best to do a tour of the market or go independently. We are glad we did the tour. Jesús knows so much about the market and the people in it. We also learned about the neighborhood and Cartagena more broadly. We would definitely recommend it!

Jesus, our guide, was very courteous and friendly and explained the history of the Bazurto market. This tour offers a look into another aspect of the daily Iives of people in Cartagena. It is both an indoor and outdoor market. There is a fish section and meat section, as well as clothes and fruits. Everyone we encountered was friendly. We enjoyed seeing this part of Cartagena.
