I am an archaeologist by profession, with a degree in Geography and History, a tour guide license, and a Master's degree in Cultural Heritage Management. I know the city very well because I worked for many years excavating in Valencia's historic center, and I know I can share that knowledge with the tourists who visit us. I also worked in Pompeii for several years and on various campaigns. I love art, which is why I travel quite a bit, especially to Italy and throughout Spain. I compiled the Archaeological Guide to the Almoina Archaeological Center and also participated in its museum displays. I have also published two books: "The Islamic Alcázar of Valencia" and "The Institution and Building of the Almoina of Valencia."

Tour description
In this unique tour, we will discover the essentials of Valencia's historic center. Additionally, we will see other monuments or curiosities that are not seen in other tours. I am a historian and archaeologist, which allows me to fully showcase a city with more than 2150 years of history.
Join me on this entertaining adventure and you will learn about: the history, archaeology, art, architecture, traditions, gastronomy, and the Fallas of Valencia!
To understand the mark left by all the cultures that lived here, we will observe the evolution of the city through the following elements:
- The Roman baths from 100 B.C., the oldest in the Peninsula
- The Visigoth mausoleum where the tomb of St. Vincent the Martyr was located
- The walls and towers from the 11th-12th century of the Andalusian Balansiya
- Medieval buildings such as: the Silk Exchange (World Heritage Site), the Serranos Towers, the Generalitat, the Almudín, the Cathedral (with the Tribunal de les Aigües, World Heritage Site) and the churches of St. John of the Hospital and St. Catherine
- The Jewish Quarter and the Humanist Luis Vives
- Unique buildings such as: the Basilica of the Forsaken, the Round Square, the church of the Santos Juanes, the house of Punt de Ganxo, and the Central Market.
Price of the Archaeological Crypt of the prison of St. Vincent: €2, reduced: €1
I kindly ask you to bring cash, as you know free tours are based on payments
