Welcome to the Patronato neighborhood in the Recoleta commune, the first and only Arab neighborhood in Chile. In this neighborhood, the largest Palestinian community outside the Arab world was formed. We will delve into the history of these migrants originating from Palestine , Syria , and Lebanon in Chile and Latin America.
We will explore the Arab influence on the cultural, economic, and ethnic development of the country through the neighborhood's shops, murals, and food, and understand what it means to be Latino-Arab with its details and contradictions.
