Tour description

As the origin we take the Casa del Cocó, and as the destination the Serra de Oltà Camping Area, it can also be done in the opposite direction. Summary description: This route, which is signposted in red, begins at the information panel of the traditional paths that is located at the back of the Cocó house museum, and facing it, we will take the path to our left passing through the well of the house, we descend along the path and after passing through the entrance of the Botanical Garden, at a fork in the road, we will take the one on the right. Shortly afterwards we cross the Pou Roig ravine and now continue on a slight ascent until the next fork where we take the path to our right (Soliva road), a little further on, again at a fork, we take the path to the left which takes us near a little house that we leave on the right. Now descending, we pass between high stone margins until we reach the same bed of the ravine through which we will continue up the river for about 300 meters. We leave it on the left and ascend to the N-332 road, where we can cross directly or continue on the left parallel to it 150 meters to an underpass and then continue to the right until the asphalt path that goes up towards the Serra d 'Oltà. Following this road between houses we come to a fork where we will take the right branch that ascends between the pine forest where, after about 100 meters, we find a track to the right which we take. This track ends and, to the left, we now continue along a path that takes us close to the train track (FGV). Without crossing it, we descend along the slope of the railway line for about 50 meters to a crossroads where we will take the one on the right, in the opposite direction to which we were going. This path takes us to the tunnel through which we cross the railway line. Leaving the tunnel, to the right, we skirt the terraces and ascend to the Casa dels Corralets, shortly after passing it, next to the chain that the path has, a path emerges to the right that we will take and meandering we will arrive at the Oltà road . Along the same road, we descend about 20 meters and cross it to ascend the path, initially steep, and through which we gain height between the pine forest to the Camping Area. Elements of interest: On the road to Soliva we can see the old water induction with its stone towers used as siphons of this supply network that dates back to 1928. Along this road we can also contemplate the cultivated fields that there are on both sides, with vineyards, almond and olive plantations. Section of paved road and delimited by high margins made in the traditional way of working dry stone. In the ravine section we can appreciate the typical vegetation of this ecosystem, in which oleanders, brambles, reeds, etc. abound. Casa dels Corralets, a traditional country farmhouse in these lands where we can see all the essential elements for country life such as: the corrals for domestic animals, the well, the era, etc. This path lasts about 2:30 am depending on the pace of the group. How much? The amount given to the guides is completely open. Each traveler is free to decide at the end of the tour how much they want to contribute, depending on how much they liked it, and their economic possibilities.
