Tour description
A walking tour through some of the streets of Tortosa's old quarter: Cathedral Square, the Episcopal Palace and its Gothic chapel, Oliver de Boteller Palace, the Gothic fountain of the Holy Angel Chapel, the Battle of the Ebro monument, the Renaissance palaces of Oriol and Despuig, La Cinta Square and the Baroque entrance to the Cathedral, the Cathedral's Gothic apse, Casa Grego (Modernism), the Temple of Reparation, Portal del Romeu, Dolors Square, Christ of the Purísima, the Rastre-Santa Clara wall, and the Royal Colleges (Renaissance Space).
Note for visitors:
Some sites may be closed due to visiting hours or public holidays. These are hidden gems you’ll discover along the route, rather than typical tourist spots. Other sites require an entrance fee, such as the Renaissance Interpretation Center, which is an optional stop on the tour.

Casa de la Generalitat
Known as the House of the General, the Generalitat, or "casa de canvis" (Exchange House). From there, we will discuss the "pont de barques" (bridge of boats), the Battle of the Ebro monument, the facade of the Oliver de Boteller palace, and the ancient Angel Fountain.

Palau Despuig
Renaissance palaces of Oriol and Despuig. Currently used as a School and Conservatory of Music.

Carrer de l'Olivera
In the Plaza de la Cinta (or de la Olivera), we admire the south door of the cathedral, built in Baroque style and featuring the three patron saints of the city: Saint Cordula, Saint Candia, and Our Lady of the Cinta. In the same square, we can admire a Modernist jewel, the Casa Grego.
