Old Town Bucharest and the Story of a Nation

A walk through Bucharest. A journey through Romania.

As we walk through the Old Town and nearby historic areas, Bucharest becomes a lens through which you’ll discover the story of an entire country — from medieval roots and royal ambition to communism and today’s revival.
Behind the facades of the old town lies a tapestry of resilience, imagination, and human ambition. Every street corner tells a story just waiting to be discovered by curious minds and kind hearts.
What you’ll experience:
• One City. One Walk. The Story of Romania.
• 15+ iconic landmarks & hidden gems
• Licensed English & German-speaking guide & storyteller with a culinary background
•  Stories that blend architecture, history and culture
• Engaging storytelling — not lectures
• Small groups — relaxed pace, no rushing
• Optional recommendations for restaurants
If you’re looking for more than just landmarks — for stories, context, and a deeper feel of the place — this tour is for you.
Come curious, leave inspired!

Guiding since 2025
Hi there! I’m Andreea Beca, but all my friends call me Beca. I’m passionate about people, stories, and authentic experiences. I hold a degree in German and English and a national tour guide license. Before becoming a guide, I had a small bistro here in the city, Beca’s Kitchen, a place I built with a lot of passion and where I spent a good part of my life for almost 10 years. What I loved most back then wasn’t just the food, but the people, conversations, that feeling of connection. After a bit of a reset in the past couple of years (and a new little human joining our family), I realized I wanted to keep that part, the joy of connection and of sharing stories with people from all over the world, just in a different form. Today, I create walking experiences in Bucharest, sharing stories and local places, and using the city as a way to understand the bigger story of Romania, just as I’d love to experience a place myself when I travel. Come curious, leave inspired.
