From tourist to local: experience Santa Marta like a local

There are places you visit… and there are places that transform you.

This is NOT a typical tour of Favela Santa Marta.

It's an unforgettable experience to understand what no one usually explains to you, from the inside ; seeing reality itself... without filters, which will give you a much more complete and real vision.

We'll climb to the very top, where the city unfolds before you with a direct view of Christ the Redeemer for some Instagram photos… but the important thing isn't the photo . What's important is everything that happens before and after.

You will walk through streets full of history, understand how life in the community has changed , and see a reality that is often judged from the outside.

We will enter two different worlds within the same place: an old house, built with what was available, and a modern house, reflecting all that has evolved.

You're going to live with real people. You're not here to observe... you're here to connect .

If the moment arises, we play football with children from the community, share laughter, and you understand something that cannot be explained: the true meaning of community.

We'll pass by the Michael Jackson statue, but even that spot has a story that goes far beyond tourism.

And to end properly: you're going to prepare your own caipirinha .

Free tours don't have a fixed price. At the end, each person contributes to the guide the amount they consider fair based on their satisfaction. As a guideline, Guruwalk recommends between €15 and $50 per participant.
