Bogotá with a woman's face: a feminist tour of downtown Bogotá
Discover Bogotá from a different perspective: that of the women who have woven their history into these streets. Because neither history nor the streets have named us, but that ends now!
This 3-hour tour will take you through iconic neighborhoods such as La Candelaria, Las Nieves, Bosque Izquierdo, La Macarena and La Perseverancia.
During the tour we visited historical and current places that reveal the memory and resistance of women in Bogotá:
1. Plaza La Pola - feminine cosmogony and representation of women from submission.
2. Church of Las Aguas - body and dominion
3. District Cinematheque - anticolonial feminism
4. Jorge Tadeo Lozano University - academy: between bars and windows
5. MAMBO Museum - motherhood as mandate and resistance
6. The Memory of the River (separator between MAMBO and Independence Park) - female pleasure as a right
7. Independence Park - institutional violence and femicide
8. Perseverance Square - Working woman who resists and transforms.
This unique tour invites you to discover the untold stories of women in the capital. We'll walk through symbolic spaces—churches, universities, museums, and plazas—while reflecting on feminism, motherhood, pleasure, and institutional violence.
Note: The route includes some steep streets. I recommend bringing very comfortable walking shoes, water, and an umbrella (just in case the Bogotá morning surprises us!).
The tour lasts 3 hours

Since childhood, I've loved telling stories, as sharing my fascination with stories and adventures is a cornerstone of my life. This passion for storytelling led me to study journalism. During my studies, I discovered the tourism industry, and since 2017, I've had the wonderful experience of working as a tour guide. Sharing my little piece of the world with those interested in my beautiful country has inspired me to learn more about its history, culture, politics, and curiosities. Together with my friend María Paula, a sociologist, we created this beautiful project, which highlights the importance of remembrance, reconciliation, and peace.
