Aleppo: History, Culture, Architecture, Streets, Flavors & Stories
The tour lasts 4 hours
Available in Arabic and English
Description
Join me for a journey through the heart of Aleppo, one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities. Together, we'll explore the magnificent Citadel of Aleppo, wander through centuries-old streets, and discover the stories that shaped this remarkable city.
We'll walk through Aleppo's famous covered souks, considered the oldest and longest covered market in the world, and home to dozens of specialized markets, historic caravanserais, and traditional bathhouses.
Along the way, you'll learn how Aleppo became one of the Middle East's greatest trading centers and how its markets still preserve centuries of craftsmanship and daily life.
Our journey will continue through Bab al-Faraj and the charming streets of Al-Jdeideh, where historic houses, courtyards, and churches reveal another side of the city's rich cultural heritage.
We'll also stop to enjoy authentic Aleppine street food and experience the flavors that locals have loved for generations.
This tour is an opportunity to experience Aleppo through its stories, architecture, food, and the everyday life of its people.
Aleppo Citadel entrance fee: 10-15$

Guiding since 2026Licensed Tour Guide in Syria
Hi! I’m a local guide from Aleppo with a deep love for the city’s history, streets, food, and everyday stories.
For me, guiding is not only about showing famous landmarks, but about helping travelers feel the spirit of the city through its people, architecture, markets, flavors, and hidden details.
I enjoy walking with curious travelers, sharing the stories behind the places we pass, and creating a relaxed experience where you can ask questions, take photos, taste local food, and see Aleppo from a local perspective.
My goal is to make every walk feel personal, warm, and memorable like discovering the city with someone who truly knows it and loves it.
