On this free tour we will discover how the Great Siege of 1565 gave rise to Valletta, who the Knights of the Order of St. John really were, and what historical relationship unites Malta with Spain.
We will also learn the incredible story of Caravaggio: an art genius, a fugitive, pursued for murder, made a Knight of Malta, imprisoned, and finally escaped from the island.
But Valletta is much more than wars and knights. We'll talk about Napoleon, British influence, World War II, Maltese culture, and its most typical flavors: pastizzi, ftira, Maltese rabbit, Kinnie, and much more.
