City Life and History of Sendai, Japan
- 4 hours
- English
Description
Come explore Sendai, from downtown near the main train station all the way to Aobayama park. Along the way, you can learn fun places for activities or delicious restaurants to eat at. You can also learn a bit about Date Masamune, the Samurai founder of Sendai.
The tour will start and end at Sendai Station. First, the group will be led through the downtown shopping district, where you can see iconic stores like E Beans and the Pokemon Center, as well as attractions like the Sendai observation deck. Next, the group will head by subway to the Aobayama park and hike up the hills to reach the castle ruins and historic Date Masamune statue. Lastly, the group will return to Sendai Station via subway. Note: A suica card will be necessary for riding the subway. Subway costs may vary, but having at least 1000 yen loaded in the card is enough to cover both rides.
