This stone fortress sits high on a hill and looks like something from a movie. You can walk along the high walls and see amazing views of the town and the ocean in the distance. It is the best spot for photos!
A Colorful Fairytale Next, visit the famous Pena Palace. You will recognize it immediately by its bright red and yellow colors. This palace was built for a king and is filled with beautiful statues and fancy rooms. You can explore the terraces and look out over the deep green forest that surrounds the building.
Relax in the Village After visiting the palaces, we head down to Sintra’s Old Town. You will have free time to eat lunch at a local cafe and walk through the narrow stone streets. Don't forget to try a "Travesseiro," a famous local pastry that is sweet and delicious. There are also many small shops where you can find handmade gifts.
Tunnels and Secrets In the afternoon, we visit the mysterious Quinta da Regaleira. This park is full of surprises. You can find hidden lakes, secret caves, and the famous Initiation Well. This is a deep stone staircase that goes underground. It feels like a giant adventure playground for adults and children alike.
See the Atlantic Coast (Optional) If you want to see even more, you can choose to add a visit to the coast. We can take you to Cabo da Roca, which is the most western point of Europe. The cliffs here are huge and the ocean views are powerful. We can also stop in Cascais, a beautiful beach town with a calm bay and lovely shops.
