Description

Begin your half-day guided tour in the historic Belém quarter, home to some of Lisbon’s most iconic monuments from the 15th and 16th centuries. Discover the Belém Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and former departure point for Portuguese maritime explorations, and admire the Monument to the Discoveries, built to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Prince Henry the Navigator's death.

You’ll then have free time to visit the impressive Church of the Jerónimos Monastery, a Manueline architectural masterpiece, and the National Palace of Ajuda, a former royal residence turned national monument. As the only palace in Lisbon open to visitors, it offers a rich glimpse into Portugal’s regal past.

Depending on the day of your tour, you’ll visit either the Ajuda National Palace on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, or the Royal Treasure Museum on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

After the guided portion, continue your discovery of Lisbon at your own pace with a digital walking tour. Wander through the narrow streets of the traditional Alfama district, visit a local handicraft shop, and enjoy a tasting of Port wine. Then head down to Baixa, Lisbon’s downtown area, and take in the grandeur of its most important squares, including the monumental Comércio Square, the lively Rossio Square, and the symbolic Restauradores Square.
