Discover the history of the first cava bottle, admire the modernist architecture and taste 3 premium cavas.
Learn about the history of Casa Codorníu, the creator of cava, with this guided tour. You’ll walk through the modernist building, a masterpiece from the architect Josep Puig y Cadafalch, which was declared a Historical-Artistic Monument in 1976. Then, you’ll learn about the history of the Codorníu family while visiting the gardens and discover the story around the first cava bottle.
You’ll descend into the underground cellars dating back to the 19th century and learn about the elaboration process of cava. You’ll admire an exhibit of traditional cava-making machinery and enjoy a train tour around the cellars. Finally, you’ll taste 3 premium cavas with chocolates and enjoy a delicious lunch.

- If you book your visit at 3:00, 3.30 or 3:45 p.m., lunch will be served before the visit (1:00 p.m.). For the rest of the hours, the restaurant service is available from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

- STARTERS - one option to choose per person: salad of quail, endive and pickled vinaigrette; vegetable escalibada, chickpea and sesame paste with rostido juice; carpaccio of prawns, fresh beans with garlic and black garlic emulsion; trinxat of cabbage with black and white sausage, bacon and roast pork rind juice; trinxat and cap i pota, foamy truffle, onion and seasonal mushroom omelette
- MAIN COURSES - one option to choose per person: cod fillet with Biscayan snails and fresh spinach; beef sirloin with pak choi sauce and potato risolada, Prawn and artichoke rice (min 2 person), Galician beef T-bone steak 1kg with garnish (min 2 person)
