Step back in time on the island where Paris was born. This exterior-only walking tour explores the Île de la Cité, the historic heart of Paris. Meet your storyteller at the Statue of Charlemagne on Place Notre-Dame, just in front of Notre-Dame Cathedral. If the Notre-Dame Express 45-minute option is selected, you will enjoy a focused exterior visit of Notre-Dame Cathedral, admiring the main facade with the Portal of the Last Judgment, the rose window and twin towers, and the apse with flying buttresses, while learning about the 2019 fire and recent restoration. Tour ends in front of Notre-Dame. If the Ile de la Cité & Notre-Dame option is selected, your tour continues beyond Notre-Dame to Pont Neuf, the oldest bridge in Paris, by the statue of Henri IV. Learn about Jacques de Molay, the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar, who was executed here and the curse linked to the French kings. Continue to Place Dauphine, a quiet and elegant royal square, and to the exterior of the Conciergerie, once a royal palace and later the prison of Marie-Antoinette. This complete tour lasts 1.5 hours. If the option with Seine cruise is selected, your experience also includes a 1-hour Seine cruise with Bateaux Parisiens from Port de la Bourdonnais, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. See Notre-Dame, the Louvre and other landmarks from the water. Flexible ticket valid anytime during your stay. Please note: This is an exterior-only tour. No monument entry is included.
