What Awaits You at Cuenca Cathedral?
The Cuenca Cathedral stands as one of La Mancha's most significant monuments, offering a wealth of fascination through its history, curiosities, and architectural splendor that will captivate you.
We'll begin by admiring its striking façade, characterized by Gothic architecture with distinct French influences. Constructed in the 12th century, La Seo was built atop an ancient Arab mosque, proudly holding the title of the first Gothic cathedral erected in Castile.
Once you step inside the Cuenca Cathedral, the play of light through its stained-glass windows will surely leave you in awe. During our visit to the Nuestra Señora de Gracia Cathedral, you will have the chance to discover some of its remarkable features, such as the Renaissance cloister, the vibrant stained-glass windows, the high altar, and the Sagrario Chapel.
