Pompeii Train Excursion
With your train tickets (received the day before), you'll head to Santa Maria Novella station in Florence to take the 6 am Frecciarossa train. Arrive on time!
At 9:15 am, you'll arrive at Naples Central Station, where an attendant will guide you to the regional train to Pompeii. Enjoy views of the Gulf of Naples, Sorrento peninsula, and Mount Vesuvius during the journey.
Upon arrival in Pompeii, a guide will await you at the train station to direct you to the ruins. The day before the tour, you'll receive your Pompeii tickets and instructions on downloading the audio guide. No ticket office visit in Pompeii is needed. Prepare to explore the ancient Roman city.
You will embark on an audio-guided tour of the site, which includes the baths, lupanar, Temple of Jupiter, the forum, and well-preserved buildings with mosaics. Notable are the casts of the inhabitants who perished in the eruption.
After your self-guided visit, meet your tour escort to return to the station for the 2:21 pm regional train. Arriving in Naples, you will board the high-speed train at 3:40 pm to reach Florence at 6:46 pm.
