Access to the Empire State Building
Ascending the Empire State Building, situated in the center of New York, offers a unique adventure for all visitors to the city. At the time of its completion, it participated in the “race into the sky,” competing alongside the Chrysler Building and 40 Wall Street for the title of the tallest structure in the world.
For approximately forty years, the Empire State Building held the record as the world's tallest building. Its magnificent 86th-floor observatory, situated at 1,047 ft (320 m), is a product of this fierce competition. In anticipation of being surpassed by the Chrysler Building, which boasted a taller steel spire, five additional floors were added, culminating in the creation of the observatory on the 86th floor.
Today, visitors are welcomed to both an indoor glass-enclosed and an outdoor open-air terrace from where they can take in sweeping views of renowned sites such as Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Chrysler Building, and the Statue of Liberty, among other famous landmarks.

The second phase of the Empire State Building Observatory Experience was unveiled on July 29, 2019, designed to enrich the visitor experience further. This immersive journey guides guests through the building's history, highlighting its status as a pop culture symbol.
Among the attractions, discover a model of the original design, the technology behind the elevators, along with numerous other engaging displays. Seventy-two screens featuring 180-degree immersive sound present advertisements, movies, television shows, comics, and games that showcase this legendary building—and you can even high five King Kong himself, thanks to 4D experiences that bring the giant ape to life!
Fast-Track Entry
When making a reservation, you can opt for the express entry option to bypass the lines for building entry and elevator access.
Options include express access to the 86th floor only or a choice that features swift entry to the observation deck on the 102nd floor, where you can behold even more breathtaking views of New York through its 24 floor-to-ceiling windows. Additionally, you will ascend via a panoramic lift to the observation level.
Timings and Ticket Information
Your entry ticket to the Empire State Building is valid for the specific date and time selected upon booking.
To minimize waiting, it is advisable to avoid visiting between 12 pm and 2 pm, as well as one hour before and after sunset.
