Colosseum evening tour with optional arena floor access

Join an evening guided tour of the Colosseum and nearby archaeological sites, when cooler temperatures and smaller crowds create a different atmosphere for exploring Ancient Rome.

Your tour begins at Trajan’s Column before continuing along Via dei Fori Imperiali, a historic avenue with panoramic views over the Roman Forum, once the political and commercial centre of the Roman Empire. As you walk, your English-speaking guide will share stories about Roman politics, religion, and daily life while pointing out the temples, arches, and monuments that shaped the ancient city.

You’ll then enter the Colosseum during the quieter evening hours. Inside the amphitheatre, your guide will explain how this monumental structure was built, how it evolved over time, and the spectacles that once entertained thousands of spectators.

You can choose the experience that suits you best. Select the Regular option or upgrade to Arena Floor to stand on the reconstructed arena where gladiators once fought. Tours are available as semi-private (10 people), small-group (15 people), or group (25 people) options, depending on the access selected.

Not allowed:

• Large bags or backpacks. The Colosseum does not have any cloakroom facilities

Accessibility:

• This tour is not accessible to wheelchair users or guests with any impairments requiring special assistance
• This tour is not accessible to strollers or baby carriages
• This tour is not accessible to children under 6 for security reasons

Know in advance:

• Choose between Colosseum Regular Access and Arena Access, which includes entry to the reconstructed Arena Floor.
  Regular Access is available as a Group tour (up to 25 participants) or a Semi-Private tour (up to 10 participants).
  Arena Access is available as a Group tour (up to 25 participants), a Small Group tour (up to 15 participants), or a Semi-Private tour (up to 10 participants)
• Colosseum standard entry ticket: 18€, with Arena access: 24€. The remaining amount covers additional services included in the offer, such as the guided tour and on-site assistance
• No pre-sale fees are charged to the customer
• All guests must comply with the Colosseum Visitor Rules, which can be consulted on the official Colosseum website
• None of the options above includes access to the Underground level
• All participant names are required at the time of booking in order to enter the Colosseum. If we do not receive the full customers' names, the booking will be cancelled
• Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
• Colosseum entry may involve delays due to security checks or large crowds during holidays and peak periods
• The tour itinerary may change order, but all adjustments are planned to improve your experience
• Some venues may close unexpectedly; if this happens, the tour will be extended to match the advertised duration
• Some of the landmarks and monuments included in this tour may be subject to ongoing maintenance or restoration work. These activities, while essential for preservation, might result in limited access, temporary visual obstructions, or reduced photo opportunities
