If you're going to take one tour in Barcelona, let it be this one. I wanted to understand more about the history of anarchism in this city and how it all came to a head during the Spanish Civil War, and boy did Miguel deliver! His knowledge is impressive, and you can really see the research that went into the tour's contents and itinerary, leading you through the working class neighborhood of Raval with many hidden gems and places that have shaped the history of political struggles in Barcelona. Particularly rare is the level of nuance and explanation about the processes of socioeconomic development in the city since the Renaissance to the modern age, so when it gets to discussing the 20th century you have a solid overview of what has led to those events. I also appreciated the attention given to the women's role in the local anarchist movement, something that often gets overlooked. All in all, impressive quality and a lot of learning in a relatively brief time, but without it ever feeling overwhelming. I doubt you'd find anything even comparable in the "mainstream" tours. And on top of that, Miguel is a lovely guy, fun, considerate and with great passion for what he does. ¡Gracias Miguel y hasta siempre!

We had a great time on the tour! Our guide, Charlie, was fun and friendly, sharing both entertaining and historical facts. The tour, labeled as a comedy tour, made time fly by, even though I didn't catch every joke due to English not being my first language. While some jokes were a bit much for me, I still found the experience worthwhile and enjoyed meeting Charlie!
