I've done a lot of "Third Reich" walking tours in Berlin & elsewhere -- and this truly ranks one of the best I've been on! Chris "the Canadian" is well-informed about this really complicated period. He presents details in an engaging, almost storytelling way, balancing hard fact w/ current conditions. Expectd a grounded context of Jewish life in Germany (w/ details of Berlin), the ruthlessness of Hitler et al, and how it's all remembered today (memorials, etc). Chris is highly personable -- taking time for everyone's questions & comments-- and then finished our tour w/ an uplifting story. This is a tour you really don't want to miss! 6 stars!

In the circle of power: tour through political Berlin
Best thing to do and see in Berlin
Berlin is the capital of Germany, it is located northwest of the country and one of the most important cities in all of Europe. It has a large influx of travelers throughout the year attracted by its cultural, historical, architectural and gastronomic charms as well as being washed by up to five rivers: Esprea, Havel, Panke, Dahme and Wuhle.
When visiting the city, doing so with a local guide who teaches you the essential places will help you get to know the less popular culture and places that tourists don't find. Any free walking tour in Berlin has a tour that includes the Brandenburg Gate as well as the Unter den Linden, Berlin Wall (East Side Gallery), Alexanderplatz, the Pergamon Museum (the most famous in the city), the Berlin Cathedral , stroll through the Tiergarten Park and the Reichstag, visit the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and the KurfĂĽrstendamm, the Holocaust Monument, Checkpoint Charlie or the New Museum (Neues Museum).
You can find more information about free tours in Berlin in the opinions that walkers leave about the guided tour they have done, valuing both the route and the experience with the local guide. Other cities that also have guided tours are Cologne, Nuremberg, Hamburg, Dresden or Munich.
