We really enjoyed the walking tour through Carlsberg Byen! It was a great way to discover a part of Copenhagen that we probably wouldn’t have explored in such detail on our own. The combination of Carlsberg’s history, the Jacobsen family stories, old industrial buildings, modern architecture and the transformation of the neighbourhood made the tour very interesting. Our guide(Wayne) was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging, explaining everything clearly and making the stories easy and fun to follow. We especially enjoyed seeing places such as the iconic Elephant Gate and learning about the history behind the area. The two hours passed very quickly. A very enjoyable and informative experience — definitely recommended for anyone who wants to discover a different side of Copenhagen! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Despite the rainy weather, we greatly enjoyed this tour of Copenhagen and the Carlsberg District. The experience offered a fantastic balance of insights—covering the city’s broader history and development, as well as the significant influence of the Carlsberg brewery and its founders on both the city and society, particularly their progressive stance on workers’ wellbeing. Our guide, Jack, provided an excellent overview throughout. His explanations were clear, engaging, and easy to follow, He was both knowledgeable and entertaining, and he handled every question with confidence and depth. All in all, a highly enjoyable and informative tour that we would definitely recommend—even in less-than-perfect weather!

This was a great way to explore and understand a different area of Copenhagen. Laura utilised her architectural knowledge to add to the tour which was fascinating. Combined with a historic element too, it felt very well rounded and relevant. Would highly recommend.
