I essentially had a private tour of Cork - apart from the guide, June, there was just one other person. June was a truly enthusiastic guide with a great sense of humour - and it was apparent that she loved Cork. She showed us both key landmarks and some lesser known (but not less interesting) places - all while sharing anecdotes regarding Cork's history and the present-day life in the city. I only wish I had twice as much time to explore Cork - because these two hours were so absorbing that they passed in the blink of an eye.
