Giorgia
Hallo!!

We had a brilliant afternoon with Giorgia, she was very knowledgeable and made the tour very enjoyable. We found out so much more than a guide book could tell us . It was very obvious that Giorgia loves her city and wanted to share her passion with us. There were many streets we would not have stopped and looked around but when she explained what there was to see we were so pleased that she shared her knowledge with us. Fully recommend this tour to explore the Travestere and Jewish Ghetto area. Thank you Giorgia

Amazing tour! Well thought out and planned, excellent communication of key information (with some fun quizzing to keep us engaged). Wonderful sights and recommendations - thank you for helping us make memories for our trip!

This is my first GuruWalk experience and I will have to say it didn't disappoint me at all. Firstly, I wanted to do a tour that was different from the normal walking tour of walking around the main attractions or city center and voila this walk came up. This tour covered on the Trastevere neighbourhood and the Jews Quarters and knowing the history of wealthy families who lived around the area and how the Jews lived there and still do with alot of restuarants and shops still owned by them. Is something different and also I got to know how the different churches and the dark history at the Flower Market. Is just brilliant and also fun with other walkers who are like minded and want to know about the history. I loved the idea of having this tour on the first day of my arrival of Rome so that I could also find good restuarants to visit around that area where the locals go to. Be mindful, a few restaurants were closed on Sunday. Giorgia is so engaging and she infact quizzes us at every point to understand if we really were listening to her to make it even more interesting. I did feel like I was under the supervision of a history teacher but in a fun way :) Giorgia is even more lovely when I texted her the next day asking for a list of restaurants around that area as I went back to visit Trastevere the next day with a fellow traveller and started explaining abit of history I learnt off from Giorgia. I highly recommend anyone who is looking for an offbeat walking tour around Rome with less crowd. I recommend the group to be small as there is no mics or headsets and I tried staying closer to Giorgia so that I could hear her as during the weekend evenings the area starts to get busy with musicians busking away. However, is definitely worth it especially if you are a history buff. :)
