I was at meeting point early as requested and waited until 10 minutes past the scheduled time. The guru Jerome didn’t shotup. No communication about cancellation or schedule changes.whatsoever.
Jerome is a phenomenal guide, he gave a tremendous tour of Intramuros for me with a mixed group, changing between Filipino and English perfectly and gave us a lot of great information, not sugarcoating the difficult history of the city but also showing how Filipinos have stood strong against many aspects of colonialism, genocide, imperialism, corruption, and war, and always drew us back to the amazing spirit and strength and beauty of an archipelago of 7,600+ unique islands. Jerome even arranged for a private tour for just me the next day and took me around new parts of the city, gave me more of the history of the myths and legends of the land and culture, the mix of the native and Catholic cultures, and allowed me to try new food and gave helpful tips of things to see in Manila. Jerome was TREMENDOUS and well worth every penny. I was even running 45 min late due to horrible Manila traffic and he waited patiently for me and showed me so many things. I'm a teacher and don't have a lot of extra cash to spare, so what Jerome did for me, considering the cost of the tour, it was amazing, and I can't recommend him enough. He treated me as a friend!
The tour was cancelled because nobody else had booked. Jerome didn't tell me this until I arrived, although he had my WhatsApp. He said he announced the cancellation in the app but this was not the case. It doesn't show as cancelled and I am now asked to review it. I got up at 06:00 to arrive in time for 08:50 so it would have been good to have been told in advance
