Vor 4 Jahren nach Abschluss des Universitätsstudiums in Großbritannien nach Ungarn zurückgekehrt. Janet is a passionate and knowledgeable tour guide, she is a local so she knows the story of each place and how the public react to certain infustructure and policies. I can tell that she is proud of her Hungarian heritage and takes pride of being part of the Pest side of the city. She share some facts and knowledge that I would had never be able to google on my own. You can tell that she is actually excited to share her knowledge about the city/country and not just memorizing a script. She is also the most fun and enthusiastic tour guide I had in Europe, her humor is not over the top but a little bit subtle. Also she gave us recommendation to avoid tourist traps, take good pictures (a big plus for solo a traveler) and her English is really good.

It was excelent
This tour was a really eye-opening way to discover Budapest from a different perspective. Instead of focusing only on the typical historical highlights, we explored the city’s alternative culture, especially in the Jewish district, and learned about its art scene, murals, statues, and the unique atmosphere of the ruined bars. It was very informative and went much deeper than standard tours. Some of the stories were sad, but I think it’s important to learn the truth about the past and also understand how it shapes the present and future of the city. The guide Burak explained everything in a very engaging and honest way. If you want to see a different side of Budapest beyond the main tourist spots, I can definitely recommend this tour!
