Ich bin in Warschau aufgewachsen, wo meine jüdisch-polnischen Wurzeln und die Erfahrungen meiner Familie mich zu einem großen Interesse an europäischer Geschichte geführt haben. Jetzt biete ich meine unabhängigen Touren an - ich mag besonders die Besucher, die eine Minute länger nachdenken und über die üblichen Touristen-Blickfangtouren hinausgehen möchten. Incredible tour! Mary is a wellspring of facts and powerful personal, family and cultural stories. This tour is for those who are passionate about understanding fascism and who want to go deep. It did take 4.5-5 hours and is not your typical tourist tour. Me and my two friends were deeply moved by the stories Mary shared and her ability to offer complexity to the topics of fascism, communism and democracy. I cannot Recommend this tour enough! Thank you Mary for your dedication, passion and rigor.
An exceptional experience that speaks to current and historical social issues more than any other tour I have ever been on. Mary is well informed and passionate about history and the lessons to be learned from the past.
For me the experience was extraordinary. More than discussing the history of Berlin it was a teaching and reflecting tour about the "then and now", about the dangers of Fascism and relevance to our times, about mutual responsibility and universal values. It may not be suitable to first timers in Berlin who want to hear the basics, but if you look for an indepth insight Mary is unique. She is knowledgeable, dedicated, personal and sees these tours as her mission to spread good and not just entertain.
