Seit meiner Kindheit bin ich in die europäische Geschichte vertieft, aber erst mit 27 Jahren machte es für mich Sinn, in Paris zu leben und zu arbeiten! Ich komme ursprünglich aus Großbritannien und arbeite seit 2017 als Fremdenführerin in Paris. Ich bin gerade dabei, eine launische Pariserin zu werden! It was very good, very informative and Thom manages to maintain a light tone even tough the subject is heavy
I did this tour on a personal vacation and it was simply one of the best that I’ve taken over my years. I take University students abroad and have taken at least 50+ tours/walks of this kind, and this one stands out. Thom was thoughtful, knowledgeable, clever, and engaging. He was patient and calm with questions that could have slowed down the group. While there were many a detail about the history of France and WW2, there was a full story that I took away about what people experienced, what motivated them to both comply and resist, as well as some perspectives of the German soldiers. Lots of perspective beyond dates and what happened :) He created understanding and empathy across the participants. Thom was simply fantastic and I wouldn’t hesitate to take any other tour topic with him.
Thom is a funny guy who kept a good pace during the tour. We definitely learned some interesting facts and had a nice walk outside.
Super interesting about important times of our history. Loved the details of the Shakespeare & Co and Picasso. And glad to hear about heroes that saved Paris from being bombed.
