I do not easily give 5 stars for a tour but this one deserves it! I jouned this tour 5 minutes after I arrived in Arequipa so I hadn't seen anything of the town yet. Our guide took us to so many interesting places and also treated us to 3 different tastings (cheese ice, pisco sour and chicha). We were also able to enter in some place that would not have been possible on our own. And although we were a big group of more than 30 people, all went smoothly and the guides explaination was very understandable (he took us to some more quiet place to explain things). Don't hesitate to join this tour!
We had a great time with our guide Mario (or was it Marco?) who brought us to many interesting places around the city. Although I live in Belgium and have worked for 10 years in Antwerp, I still learnt many new things and even visited some places I had not been to before. Mario also translated some of the more difficult Spanish words into Dutch, especially for me :-)
I had a private tour with Alex because no one else showed up 😊 Alex knows a lot about Guadalajara, it's history, it's monuments, it's people,.... and he also knows how to explain it well. He brought me to places where on my own, I would probably not have been able to enter (city hall, governor palace). These are amazing places with their murals! At the end of the tour, we also visited the indoor market and Alex explained a bit about different dishes, something that is always helpful while traveling. I would highly recommend this tour! A solo traveler from Belgium.
When I arrived at the starting point, it seemed I was the only English speaker. So in the end I joined the Spanish speaking tour - I suggested it myself - but that was not such a good choice because the guide spoke way too fast. Luckily there was another tourist who was so kind to translate sole things. The route itself was not that interesting. I would have liked to spend more time at the park.
Our guide Danielle (Dani) was very knowledgeable and explained alot about this zona of cdmx en mexican culture in general. She also introduced us to some local food and helped us in ordering some in decent Spanish 😁
