Creepy-touch hidden streets of Buda

I had an amazing time exploring Budapest today with Tamas! Along the streets, he pointed out fascinating details that I would have totally missed. Those details really provided different aspects to learn about the history of Budapest as well as Hungary. He was super friendly and made the whole experience really enjoyable. My tour guide Tamas made this tour truly special. The history was explained in a way that was easy to understand. The stories brought the past to life, making me feel like I was part of the events. My guide told me all about the scary surveillance and control during the Communist regime. We also visited some hidden spots. At each place, our guide gave me clear explanations and was always ready to answer my questions. He showed me how the events from the Communist period still affect today's society, politics, and culture. This made me think about how history shapes our world today. The approachable nature of our guide created a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

The tour highlighted many interesting facts about the Cold War period and more. Personally I felt myself living in that period throughout the hours of the tour... Those hidden gardens in the centre of the city really suprised us.

We had a tour beyond our expectations. The walk was around central Buda district. Our guru was Tamas. He shared many interesting facts and details on how life worked throughout the decades of Communism and Cold War. He put it into a more complex sight than we imagined it as outsiders. We experienced a different way of thinking about historical events and periods. Tamas has a distinctive background knowledge and he was open to listen our views and questions. We had a refreshing walk altogether with funny moments.

I really enjoyed the tour with Tamas because he took us to many hidden gems, that really helped understanding how historical events happened. Tamas' tour showed many places of the communist area and he explained many interesting historical details connected with the places that we were visiting. I have done some other tours in Budapest, and they normally take people to similar touristic places, but Tamas tour helped me to understand these historical events through the eyes of daily life in off the beaten path locations, which I found very refreshing. Throughout his tour on the Buda side, I discovered surprising facts and a very beautiful area with historical and social places only locals know. I recommend Tamas for people that want to have a real insight into life during the communist area, as well as having a wider perspective of the history of Budapest. Tamas was very helpful answering questions related to his tour as well as other questions about history and art, so I really recommend him.
