The six of us joined Alexia’s free walking tour and it was one of the cultural highlights of our time in Athens. She took us through Plaka and up Filopappou Hill, where the view over the city and the Acropolis was simply breathtaking. Alexia is a brilliant storyteller. She covered every major period of Athens’ history, from antiquity right through to the Ottoman era, and kept it lively and easy to follow the whole way. Her furry sidekick Keftes kept us entertained between stops :) The tips for food and for exploring more of the city were spot on, and we used several of them in the days that followed. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to really understand Athens, and to have a great time doing it!

Alexia is a very communicative and well-informed guide. She has very interesting stories that she tells between the stops on the tour, responds to the interests and prior knowledge of the listeners, and simply makes for an entertaining and informative tour. I enjoyed my time a lot :)
