Burak's tour is not a standard tourist experience; it's much better! He's knowledgeable, interesting, and engaging, and he doesn't hesitate to tell it like it is. There's no sugar-coating the reality of life in Budapest for most people, especially young people. If you're a fan of Orban you may want to give this a miss. Otherwise we highly recommend Burak's tour.

Burak didnt hesitate to “say it how it is”. Unfiltered and genuine he walked us through history and current affairs in hungary connected to the streets of the jewish quarter and its art. It was clear he has passion for this country and wants to see it do better than it is right now

Amazing tour, the best one so far for me if you want to know about the reality, the political situation and how young people live here. I'm glad i booked this tour and would recommand to pick this tour after you spent 1 days or 2 here... Si you can deconstruct and build new knowledge.

The tour with Burak was varied, thought-provoking and fascinating: in contrast to the distortion of history by Orbán that still prevails in the Hungarian National Museum, Hungarian anti-Semitism has a long tradition, which has been linked to the name of Regent Horthy since 1920. Burak made it clear that behind the gleaming facades of central Budapest lies abject poverty after a total of 20 years of Orbáns rule - Hungary is one of the poorest countries in the European Union.

After spending two days in Budapest and visiting the main tourist attractions, this tour was the perfect way to look beyond the usual sights and get a deeper understanding of everyday life in Hungary for me. Burak shared fascinating insights into how people live today, and I learned a lot about Hungarian society, politics, and the challenges people face. The tour is quite socially and politically critical, which is worth keeping in mind. However, if you are genuinely interested in understanding modern Hungary rather than just hearing historical facts about famous landmarks, I can highly recommend this tour.

Engaging and thought-provoking tour of Budapest Jewish Quarter & its' murals. Burak is an excellent guide with a truly unique perspective. He is super knowledgeable, answered all the questions we had & the ones that we didnt even know to ask. This tour is a fantastic choice when you enjoy diving a tad deeper than the shiny & polished tourism. 10/10 & 100% recommended.

If you want a walking tour different from the others then this could be the one for you. Burak is engaging and really passionate about his subject. Definitely a tour with a personal perspective. Saw things we otherwise would have missed. Don’t do this tour if you’re looking for a comprehensive Jewish quarter history tour. This is something else entirely.

This tour was better than expected. Burak clearly knows his subject matter and you get the feeling that he cares about the art deeply. The art discussions are used to give a bigger flavor of the Jewish Quarter and Budapest/ Hungary’s in general. We really appreciated that he gave us insight into the “real” Budapest/ Jewish Quarter highlights in a way that was really engaging, through a different and interesting perspective, If you are looking for. If you are looking for a “rah rah” tour, this one may not be for you. But if you are wanting to hear a local and more unfiltered, gritty perspective, this was exactly that, and highly recommended.
