I’ve been a tour guide for the past five years. After spending four years studying humanities, I found myself feeling uncertain and without a clear path. I wanted to do something meaningful with my time, so I decided to learn languages.
Over time, I realized what truly inspires me:

Traveling

And storytelling
What started as a hobby eventually became my profession.
My mission is simple: I want Nicaragua to stay in your mind as a beautiful memory. something warm and meaningful. Through my tours, I hope to create that experience for you.
The Essential Walking Tour
The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, but it feels much shorter because we’re constantly exploring and engaging.
During the tour, we cover:
Street murals: their history and present-day meaning
The university: social and cultural context of Nicaragua.
The local market: food tasting and traditional cuisine included( we love to support locals )
The Nicaraguan revolution: history and impact
Visits inside traditional homes
Open time for questions and conversation
Museum of traditions and legends
All of this is shared in a simple, engaging, and easy-to-understand way.
We really enjoyed this walking tour with Leon, he is very knowledgeable about the history of Leon and Nicaragua in general and took us to very interesting places. We learned a lot about the revolution and Nicaragua's history- highly recommend!

I did this tour after taking the Essential Walking Tour of León, which provided a great introduction to the city’s traditional foods at a local market, as well as the history, and art of Nicaragua and León. That tour offered a great overview of the city in the past and present. The Essential Revolution Tour takes you much deeper into León’s past. This tour stand out to me from many other walking tours I’ve done because it brings history to life by taking you directly to the places where important events occurred. With the explanation from the guide and pictures or murals as reference of the past, you can almost feel the history that happened there. A real highlight of the tour was a 10-15 minute conversation with someone who took part of the revolution. Our guide, Leonel, is also an exceptional storyteller. He presents the information in a clear, structured way that makes the tour easy to follow. It’s clear he is very knowledgeable and passionate about the subject! The tour also takes you to places you would likely never discover on your own. I can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone interested in history or for those who simply want to learn more about León roots.
