Ich hatte im Vorfeld schon Kontakt zu Tavrej und er war so eine großartige und zuverlässige Unterstützung in meinen ersten Tagen in Dehli. Ich hatte schon ein gutes Gefühl, bevor die Tour losging und dies blieb auch so. Wir waren nur zu zweit unterwegs nicht nur das, auch die sympathische Art von Tavrej, sein absolut wertschätzender Umgang mit den Menschen im Viertel und die Art wie er Kontakt hergestellt hat, haben die Tour zu etwas ganz besonderem gemacht. Man merkt, dass er eine Beziehung zu den Menschen aufgebaut hat. Wir liefen nicht nur durch, sondern ich hatte wirkliche Einblicke. Die Menschen waren offen und interessiert. Ich habe mich zu keinem Zeitpunkt unwohl gefühlt. Tavrej hat sehr interessant erzählt, in sehr gutem Englisch und wir haben uns über viele Themen ausgetauscht. Bucht seine Touren und unterstützt ihn in seiner Vision! Er nimmt einen Großteil des Geldes und unterstützt die Menschen im Viertel, kauft Stifte, Hefte und Spiele für die Kinder. Absolut beeindruckend! Die Tour hat einen nachhaltigen Eindruck hinterlassen. Ich bin sehr dankbar, dass ich ihn begleiten durfte.
Great tour of the lesser known parts of Delhi. We didn’t have much time to spend in town and we opted for Lodhi as a quieter area of the city. The tour was a real highlight for us - walking through great art, colonial buildings and antigen tombs, and learning about them from Tavrej. As a guide, Tavrej was very approachable, knowledgeable and willing to share info as well as personal stories, which was great and much enriching. As a personal touch, he is always so keenly aware of the best photo opps and will be happy to direct you - a real skill. We would defo come back to one of his other walks when next in Delhi!
My experience with Tavrej was absolutely perfect! He guided me through the slum with care and respect, ensuring I could see and understand a different reality without disturbing the community that lives there. I felt safe, well-guided, and genuinely welcomed throughout the entire experience. Tavrej was also incredibly kind and patient in answering all my questions and curiosities. I highly recommend this tour!
This was a very interesting tour. It was easy to get to and the guide explained a lot of context about the slum visited. It's worth fitting this your in your Delhi itinerary.
Very interesting tour through a part of Deli which you would probably never see and experience without a guide like Tavrej - absolutely recommend to take part in it!
