Tavrej - Guía turístico en Delhi

I booked the tour on this website and straight away messaged the host that I was looking forward to it. I got a response saying to send a message to someone else via WhatsApp. This struck me as odd as all the communication should be done on this platform. I followed the instructions and messaged the person on WhatsApp only to be told that the tour was cancelled. First I was told that the guide wasn’t available and later I was told she was sick. All this when the tour was starting in a few hours and I had made plans already to be there. Very inconsiderate and the way the communication was handled was unprofessional.

Tavrej was the best tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable. The street art was brilliant and his knowledge of the art really made it come alive. Tavrej was fantastic at taking great photos of me with the art. The tour was perfect, it covered lots of street art as well as Lodhi gardens and Khan market. I would highly recommend this tour and would love to go on more of Tavrej’s tours.

If you do one thing in Delhi, make it this. This tour brought me such a rich understanding of the Indian life and culture and it really broke down mainstream stereotypes about slums in India. The tour was very flexible, we met some local children and we allowed them to take us to some cool spots they frequent, like a place they go to learn. Also, much of the revenue goes to the people living in the slum, which makes the tour even better. Tavrej is also very charismatic and knowledgeable. I really recommend taking this tour.
