Eduardo's downtown walking tour was one of the best we've done. He's a PhD candidate in Anthropology and it shows — this isn't a "fun facts" tour, it's proper history delivered by someone who clearly knows his subject inside out. He covers the 1755 earthquake, the Inquisition, the rise and decline of the Portuguese Empire, and threads it all together in a way that makes you see the city differently afterwards. What makes it special is his dry humour — he's genuinely funny without ever undermining the material. Groups are small, the pace is relaxed, and he finishes - drinks in hands - while overlooking the city, which is a nice touch. Three hours felt like nothing!
Great tour and very informative.
Very nice tour! Lots of food and drinks for a great price
Legit don’t think I’ve ever had such an informative tour guide. Incredible information. And we had so much fun!!! Like I never have learned so much from a tour!
