I am a Ph.D. title candidate in Anthropology who has been to around 75 countries. I am passionate about meeting people from different countries and backgrounds. I am also an experienced tour guide who has done over 1,000 tours in Portugal, some 300 in Brazil as well as another 300 in Thailand (the country which was the subject of my doctoral thesis).
While I am skilled in History, I also have a strong bohemian part of my personality, thus I enjoy showing my clients the best bars and restaurant to attend in the city.
In my tours, I prize that the clients will get both a general knowledge of the History of Lisbon or the cuisine of Rio and local tips on how to enjoy their time in the city.
Edu's tour was awesome, highly recommended!
Don’t even think about it; just book it. If you’re a little bit of a history nerd, this will be the absolute highlight of your trip. Eduardo is incredibly knowledgeable, but also not the sort of academic that you remember from college who puts you to sleep during lectures. He was a true storyteller, painting a beautiful picture of what Lisbon was like from 1100-1900s (while still giving you enough time for photos and sightseeing). I knew nothing of Portuguese history going into the tour and now feel prepared with some fun facts to banter about with my historian husband.
Eduardo took us to different restaurants, each with their own historical themes, so the tour felt like a tasting journey through the different Portuguese eras. There was plenty to eat and drink, all delicious. Eduardo described this tour as a Pub Crawl for adults, and it definitely felt as such. The tour ends at a busy area in case any one wants to stay longer for the night. Highly recommend.
Eduardo was very knowledgeable, was a true story teller and held the attention of his audience. We booked with him based on the review of a friend who had toured with him the week before and we were not disappointed!
