We had a great time and learnt so much from our guide! I’m sorry I couldn’t remember his name but the second syllable sounded like pear. He gave us a really brief but clear summary of what Istanbul’s very long and complex history. After the tour, we definitely had a much better idea of how to navigate the roads.

Cagatay was our tour guide. In the three hours if the tour, he gave an overview over the history of Istanbul, Turkey and whole Europe starting from the Romans until today. Combined with the fascinating facts and stories to each highlight, the tour ended much too early. He didn't leave until everyone had the best recommendations for restaurants, hammams mosques and anything else. One of the best free walking tours I ever had.
