Hola, soy Tamas.
I had a wonderful time on this walk. Tamás clearly knows & loves the area & is more than happy to share this knowledge with visitors. The tour is off the beaten path, so if you want to escape the crowds in Pest & see some obscure, lovely, interesting or often overlooked places, this is for you!
This visit took me out of the city to explore its past first through memorials and then a visit to the children’s railway and a walk leading to an amazing view of Budapest. Thomas gave excellent information and was able to answer lots of questions. He shared his own experience of growing up in Budapest and how things have changed over time. This is a very different kind of tour and I thoroughly recommend it. You will need to pay a small amount to enter the memorial park and also if you wish to ride on the children’s railway. This was a time exceptionally well spent and is a very different kind of tour to the norm with a much more personal touch and in a very small group.
This is an amazing tour for anyone who is interested in history. Tamas is a unique guide that treats the tour attendees as friends and provides with a great deal of information. Don't miss it!
Tamas is a very knowledgeable and professional guide. With his fluent English and knowledge, we got very good information about this city. It was a very informative tour. He told about the difficulties Budapest experienced in the Second World War and the Soviet communist period that followed. He gave information about its history. He showed important points about the subject. He explained about the cultural structure of Budapest. He showed the hidden gems of the Buda region. He showed local places and cafes. He showed and told about the Turkish bath and the tomb of Gül Baba. You should definitely take this tour when you come to Budapest. It was a perfect tour.
