Highly recommend the tour!
Tamas is a nice guy, but: 1. I felt that he is not a guide, he was just some guy who showed us a few interesting buildings around the block; 2. The beginning and the end were very abrupt: no intro and no end-story. 3. Between the stops, the conversation was lead by me rather than him. All-in-all, this was the weirdest walk for me and I’ve done 10+ free walking tours so far.
Tamas is very kind and even offered private transport for the tour.
Booking this tour is really worth its salt. We had a nice walk with our guide Tamas. He knows many aspects of the WWII & Cold War period of the region. We could keep our personal space throughout the walk. Really, there are some buildings here with a weird history. We also visited some sites built by the Turkish 500 years ago. That is around a one-and-a-half kilometer walk. The tour is highly recommended!
