Arqueólogo de profesión y guía certificado desde hace algunos años. Decidí cambiar la arqueología institucional por una labor de difusión, en especial de Oaxaca, que es mi ciudad. Lejos de comparar con otros sitios, me gusta compartir el por qué pueden disfrutar tanto de mi ciudad y sus alrededores, sin demeritar otros lugares de mi país, además si la gente lo permite me encanta hablar de la historia, cultura y sociedad oaxaqueña cuya antigüedad y diversidad la hacen sumamente atractiva. Me gusta que la gente deje mi ciudad queriendo regresar por lo maravillosa que es.

Rodolfo's tour is informative and gives a glimpse into some of the challenges faced by locals with the advent of mass tourism in Oaxaca. It doesn't necessarily follow the 'traditional tourist route', but I was happy about that. Rodolfo shares his insights, shares great tips and places to visit which include local cooperatives working in a more sustainable and ethical way. The day we went on the tour, we happened upon a celebration at a church, and got to try local juices which were being shared by the community. If you want a true voice and insight into Oaxaca, take this tour. However, if you are just looking for a superficial overview of the city, consider another guide.
An incredible way to get out of the touristic bubble in Oaxaca. Rodolfo’s awareness of today’s social issues expands on the understanding of Oaxaca culture today. He was kind, detailed, and super friendly. Rodolfo even gave us some extra tips for the rest of the day… 8 hours later … writing this review as soon as I could! As a latin American myself, I recommend this to anyone who wants to make sure you are a responsible tourists in a beautiful and sacred place. Without a doubt would love to take any other tour with Rodolfo. Pura vida 🙌🏽
