Today’s tour was truly one of the most memorable experiences of my trip. Our guide, who was born and raised in Baku, shared an incredible depth of knowledge about the city and the history of Azerbaijan. His explanations were detailed, engaging, and full of passion—from the stories behind Baku’s historic buildings, to the Soviet period, the conflict with Armenia, and Azerbaijan’s political and trade relations with Turkey. I was amazed by how thoroughly he understood the history of his country and how clearly he was able to explain it. Before visiting Azerbaijan, my understanding of this country was very limited. I only knew that it is a Muslim-majority country, but I knew almost nothing about its rich history, culture, and political background. Thanks to this tour, I gained so much valuable insight and left with a deep admiration for Azerbaijan and its people. What made this guide exceptional was not only his impressive knowledge, but also the pride, passion, and sincerity with which he shared the story of his homeland. He brought history to life in a way that was fascinating and easy to understand, making the entire experience both educational and enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone visiting Baku. For Indonesian travelers especially, he is an excellent guide who can provide a meaningful and unforgettable introduction to Azerbaijan. I will absolutely recommend him to my friends and family if they ever visit Baku.
Really enjoyed the tour, good range of attractions visited. Ali was very informative and explained history in a way that was easy to understand. Was also able to answer all questions and even gave recommendations on what to eat and restaurants.
We did a walking tour in Baku with Ali as our guide and it was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Ali was fantastic – incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about his city, and full of fascinating stories that really brought everything to life. He showed us around both the Old Town and the newer parts of the city, giving us a great mix of history, culture and modern-day Baku. The Old Town is beautiful – full of character, charm and stunning architecture – and having Ali explain the history behind it made it even more special. We would thoroughly recommend going on a tour with Ali if you’re visiting. Baku is honestly the best trip we’ve ever been on, and this tour was a huge part of that!
