Hace 18 años me mudé de Edimburgo a Toulouse, algo asi como de la lluvia y el whisky al sol y piscina. Y no, por mucho que extraño a mi gente, nunca me arrepiento de la decisión. Me encanta este lugar, me encanta lo vivo que está, y siempre lo ha sido. Y, si dejas que te lo enseñe, tú también lo harás.
The tour was both entertaining and informative. We found Harry very engaging, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend his tour.
Harry loves history and he is a bit of an entertainer. As he told us he researched this area for years. I was really deeply moved by what he told us about the Carthars, the inquisition, the church. All was presented with a lot of expression of voice and lots of drama. But ultimately things were presented in gentle and considerate manner (I had read your explanantions before the tour, Harry where you had given a warning but I found you inoffensive and in fact delightful).
Harry is a great guide with tons of knowledge on all the particulars of Toulousian history, especially from the medieval period. I really appreciated how much info he gave— with many tours, you just walk around and get the same info you could have gotten from a cheap audio guide or an online blog. Not Harry’s tour! So, sure, if you’re not into history, maybe it’s not for you, but you can tell he is very passionate about the city where he lives and loves telling stories that you probably won’t hear anywhere else. Excellent tour.
