I took the guided tour of Regensburg with Johannes as my tour guide, and it was an outstanding experience. Johannes is deeply knowledgeable, very approachable and genuinely enthusiastic about his city. He’s also responsive and flexible; Johannes asked which areas of city history I was most interested in, and then emphasized those elements on the tour. (As well as generously sharing information on where to shop and eat in the city.) In 20 years of taking walking tours in many different places, this one really stands out. Johannes is both extraordinarily well informed about the city and also a great communicator - so the tour was enjoyable as well as informative. I highly recommend Johannes and this tour to anyone who’s interested in the history of Regensburg and is looking for an expert guide and a truly memorable experience.

We booked the tour at the last minute, and to our surprise, we were the only ones there. We had Johannes all to ourselves and really enjoyed it; he answered all our questions, and thanks to his knowledge, we were able to immerse ourselves in Regensburg’s history as we walked through its streets. His recommendations for restaurants and nightlife spots were excellent. We highly recommend it.
